Research & Investment

AFSG have partnered with Zenith Investments as their preferred Research House to provide ongoing regular analysis of markets and investment options so our Representative and subsequently their clients can benefit from the extensive range of investments that have been researched, approved and are regularly monitored and updated. It is AFSG’s aim to provide its Authorised Representatives and their clients with the best advice, products and services in order to meet their financial goals.

AFSG also has the license to operate under an MDA arrangement for clients via a regulated platform in order to provide an efficient and reliable means of scaling an advice business.

Advice Framework

AFSG offers an advice framework for its Authorised Representatives which includes but is not limited to:

  • Fully coded client relevant advice document templates with multiple strategy text options which are continually being reviewed and updated as required;
  • Appropriate regularly updated licensee standards and policies in line with ASIC’s requirements with support from BT Communities and outsourced legal counsel;
  • The ability to utilise a fully integrated MDA license;
  • Templated office administration documentation for seamless integration into a Financial Planning practices to maintain the businesses compliance requirements,
  • Best interest duty practice processes;
  • Provision of a comprehensive Iress Xplan personalised suite of options;
  • A culture of best practice sharing and continuous improvement through individual Authorised Representatives involvement within the Group’s quarterly Responsible Manager Forum.

Operational Offerings

  • The ability to provide Fee for Service options including invoicing directly out of Xero; as well as providing additional SecurePay merchant payment options for clients
  • CommPay monthly commission reports emailed to all Corporate Authorised Representatives (CAR’s)

Adviser Education

 AFSG has a direct arrangement with Kaplan Professional to provide relevant and personalised training programs for AFSG’s Representatives that ensure its representatives meet their ongoing CPD obligations. AFSG also provides access to a variety of professional development programs to help their Authorised Representatives with their FASEA responsibilities and personal educational requirements.

AFSG also has made it mandatory for its Authorised Representatives to attend the Group’s Quarterly Responsible Manager Forums to hear firsthand all developments of a regulatory and legislative perspective that will ultimately affect them as Authorised Representatives.

  • Access to National Governance Manager for any specific compliance concerns.
  • Access to BT’s technical team to assist with any specific technical advice queries to ensure that the advice being provided is accurate and up to date from both a technical and legislative perspective.
